Extracurricular

- Chess Club

I first join the Chess Club in Grade 9 and that is one of my decision that I won't regret. It was truly an enjoyable experience. It does not matter how good you are as long as you are passionate about playing chess!

- Math Club

Math Club was a very interesting club where smart people who chooses to attend to try out difficult problems. This club made me thing outside of my comfort zone to enhance my mathematics skill.

Once in a while, there are multiple math competitions from University of Waterloo.

- Sports Club

Sports have shaped my life in a healthy way. Out of all of the different types of sports, my favourite shifted from soccer, basketball, and badminton

Notable Award

- Badminton MVP in grade 10

- Table Tennis MVP in grade 11

- TDCAA badminton (mixed) tournament, 4th place in grade 10

- Academics

Academics was my number one priority through out high school because I was aware that my goal after high school required advanced knowledge on certain subject. 

Achievement

- Grade 9, 10, 11 honour roll

- Subject award for Grade 11 Mathematics

Outside of High School

- Math Contest

I competed in a TEAMS competition in grade 8 and won among every Grade 8 male student. For the Top 3 winners, they were sent to University of Toronto, Scarborough to compete in Ontario Math Olympic (OMO). Yet, me and my partner for the paired activity managed to bring home a gold medal. This moment was definitely a turning point in my life to farther succeed.

- Elementary Basketball

When I moved to Canada in Grade 5, I just started to play basketball. Due to personal interest and great coaches, I successfully joined the Senior Basketball Team in Grade 6. Although I was warming the bench a lot, I somehow contributed to the team and earned the City Champion medal!

- TaekWonDo

As a Korean kid, TaekWonDo was kind of mandatory. Although these techniques could be used to do harm, the majority was taught for self-defense. I managed to reach 1st Poom (black belt) in 2009 and 2nd Poom in 2010
